The Real Juggle (+ Brazilian Brigadeiro Spiders for Halloween)

The Real Juggle (+ Brazilian Brigadeiro Spiders for Halloween)

Hi!

It's Roberta again, and I'm so happy to share another post with you.

October has been a full month around here, with so much work, new ideas on my design table, and Halloween just around the corner. So grab your coffee (or a glass of wine, still no judgment πŸ˜‰) and settle in.

So… what's cooking this October?

🧡 The real juggle

People sometimes ask me how I do it all. The honest answer? I don't always.

I run The Milk Crew from home, and I wear as many hats as I can. I design, pack orders, answer your messages, plan the emails, take the photos… and I'm a mom first. Some days it all flows. Other days I just can't, and I'm answering emails at 11 p.m. Let's call it balance. πŸ˜…

What I've been learning is that it doesn't have to be perfect to be meaningful. Every order, every photo you tag, every comment and message reminds me why I started. So thank you so much for being part of this crazy, beautiful juggle.

Brigadeiro Spiders

πŸŽƒ In my kitchen: Brigadeiro Spiders

Halloween is just around the corner, and I've been testing a fun, easy recipe that brings together my Brazilian roots and the American Halloween tradition. Brigadeiro is a soft, fudgy chocolate treat, aka our party must-have. No Brazilian party is complete without them! So for Halloween, we're turning them into little spiders. My son loves helping with this one!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Chocolate sprinkles, for rolling
  • Pretzel sticks, broken into small pieces (for the legs)
  • Candy eyes

How to make it

  1. In a pan over medium-low heat, mix the condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder.
  2. Stir constantly for about 10–15 minutes, until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the bottom of the pan.
  3. Pour onto a buttered plate and let it cool completely.
  4. With buttered hands, roll it into small balls, then coat them in chocolate sprinkles.
  5. Press in 8 pretzel pieces as legs (4 on each side) and add two candy eyes.

Spooky, cute, and gone in minutes. Trust me. πŸ•·οΈ
